Our Story
Benefits Management Team, LLC was founded in 2015 by Drew Ellefsen and Joe Maranto. BMT is a full service Health and Life insurance brokerage. Our business model is to offer the best products on the market while mentoring and supporting brokers across the country in becoming expert brokers. We’ve partnered with over 2000 agents and dozens of agencies to this point and are committed to continue with those efforts.
Innovation in Healthcare Advocacy
One of our biggest achievements was founding the first ever “direct to consumer” subscription based advocacy programs in 2021, Medishield. Medishield has provided some of the highest quality of healthcare advocacy in the industry to this point and has many successes to be proud of.
In 2024 we sold Medishield to our tech partners, Vitafy Health, and now operates under the name “V-Care.” Our partnership with V-Care remains strong and our shared dedication to offering the highest level of service in the industry is a shared one.
